     Dr. Andrea Macari is a clinical psychologist board certified in behavioral and cognitive psychology and the Founder and Executive Director of Well U.  Known for her direct, but warm style, Dr. Macari owns and operates one of the most well-respected private practices on the North Shore of Long Island.  Leveraging two decades of experience as a professor and clinician, Dr. Macari with the help of Well U consultants, designs and implements evidence-based mental health programming and initiatives in organizations.  Committed to bringing psychological science to life through engaging storytelling, fascinating research studies, and immersive group activities, Dr. Macari’s workshops and trainings are audience favorites.   

     Dr. Macari holds a PhD in clinical and school psychology from Hofstra University and a BA in psychology magna cum laude from Barnard College of Columbia University.  She has presented at national psychology conferences and co-authored peer-reviewed articles in the Journal of Workplace Behavioral Health, Teaching of Psychology, and the Behavior Therapist.  Dr. Macari has appeared as a guest expert on over 100 televisions shows including The Bill O’Reilly Show, Nancy Grace, Court TV, The News with Shepard Smith, and Scarborough Country with Joe Scarborough.
